Rogue Jones Post Jam Update!

Hey there!

I finally did it! I sat down and finished the post jam version of Rogue Jones.

Rogue Jones was the first time I ever finished a full game loop for a roguelike and it ended up being a pretty fun one at that. So for the post jam version there was only a few things I wanted to change, and I did.

These are the things that changed in the post jam version:

Wall Visuals
There are graphics for the walls now, which give the whole game more a feeling of being an actual temple; just a minor thing that I didn't have time for during the jam

Improved Dungeon Generation
While the dungeons were cool in the jam version, there were instances of a dungeon not being fully connected and therefore being unbeatable; This has changed now and I have done thorough testing in that regard

Endless mode
What I found out during playtesting is that the dungeons started getting really cool once they reach a size of at least 8 by 8 rooms, but they also got pretty hard, so the main game ends after only 12 levels and a dungeon size of 6 by 6 rooms. Now however I added the endless mode which has dungeons of a size of up to 10 by 10 rooms
On top of that there is a new type of collectible only available in endless mode, which is a diamond that gives you a bunch of points when collected

Highscore
To make the new endless mode fun I added a score system to the game which tracks and gives you points for everything you do in the game, and with those points also comes a highscore list of the top 9 players. (I hope to see some nice scores up there!)

That's it for now guys, if you have any ideas for what I could add to the game let me know, otherwise I guess this is where Rogue Jones will remain for now, since I have another project in the works that I am real excited about!
